Notes are how your team leaves internal context on a lead — anything from a reminder before a follow-up to a useful piece of background you want to surface alongside the conversation. They live in the thread, right next to the messages, and they're only ever visible inside Wyra.
What Notes are
Internal annotations attached to a single lead.
Notes are scoped per lead — not per campaign and not across leads. A note you leave on Arun stays with Arun. Each note records the author and a timestamp, and they appear in the lead's conversation thread alongside the email and LinkedIn messages so the full context lives in one place. Notes are internal only — they are never sent to the lead.
Two ways to add a note
From the table row, or from inside the contact drawer.
From the table row
In Interactions, click the notebook icon in the first column of any row. A Notes popover opens with the lead's name in the header and a compose box. Type your note (up to 4,000 characters) and click Save note.
From the contact drawer
Open any lead to bring up the contact drawer. At the footer, next to Reply by, click Add a note. Your note saves into the same thread the messages live in.
Both entry points write to the same place — pick whichever is more convenient. A keyboard shortcut (⌘ + Enter on Mac, Ctrl + Enter on Windows) saves a note from the compose box without clicking.
Where notes appear
Inline in the conversation thread, with author and time.
When you open a lead, the contact drawer shows the full chronological thread. Notes are interleaved with the actual email and LinkedIn messages in time order, each one tagged with the author name and the timestamp it was written. The conversation, the AI replies, and your team's internal notes are all in one scroll — so anyone picking up the lead has the complete picture without switching tools.
A count badge on the table row
When a lead has notes, the notebook icon in the Interactions table shows a count badge so you can see at a glance which leads have annotations without opening them.
When to use notes
Anything you'd normally keep in a CRM comment or a sticky.
Pre-call prep
Drop a quick line for the rep who will pick up the call — what to focus on, what to avoid, who to mention.
Context from outside Wyra
Something a teammate heard on a call, or a piece of intel from a marketing event that didn't come through the lead's profile.
Reminders
Write down what to ask if they reply, or what to confirm before booking a meeting.
Handoff notes
When passing a lead between team members, leave a short summary so the next person doesn't have to read the whole thread.
Notes vs replies — what's the difference?
A note is for your team. A reply (via Reply by) is sent to the lead. They sit side by side in the thread, but only one of them ever leaves Wyra.
