The campaign builder walks you through a campaign one screen at a time. Click Create campaign on Outreach → Campaigns. There are five steps, and sending starts when you click Launch.
The steps are Channels & SDRs → Persona → Why Now → Messaging → Review & Launch. You can go back to any step you've finished. Click Save as draft at any point and pick it up later from the Drafts tab.
Prefer to talk it through? Wyra can build the same campaign with you in Chat. See Your first campaign, built in Chat.
1. Channels & SDRs
How this campaign reaches out
- Omnichannel (the default): email and LinkedIn together.
- LinkedIn only: for regions where LinkedIn suits better than cold email.
Calls happen outside campaigns. Your team calls prospects from Interactions, whatever campaign they came from.
Where your people come from
- Wyra's Database: describe your ideal prospect and Wyra selects people who match.
- Your list: upload the companies or people you want to reach. See Campaigns from your own list.
Who runs it
Pick the AI SDRs who send. Each card shows the channels that AI SDR runs. In an Omnichannel campaign, an AI SDR with only email connected shows Runs Email and sends by email. Once they connect LinkedIn, Wyra adds it automatically, including for people already mid-sequence, as LinkedIn limits allow. An AI SDR already running 5 active campaigns shows as At capacity. If you have the AI SDR role, campaigns always run in your name, so you'll only see your own card.
2. Persona
First pick the offering the campaign sells. Then describe who should hear about it. Every field narrows the pool:
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Job Titles | The roles to reach, such as CTO or VP Engineering. |
| Exclude Titles | Roles to leave out, even if they match a title above. |
| Industry | Starts with the industries in your offering. Add or remove as needed. |
| Keyword | Words that describe the companies or people you want, such as a technology or a specialism. |
| Where | Countries, states or cities. |
| Company Size | Startup, SMB, Mid-Mkt or Ent, or your own minimum and maximum headcount. |
A bar shows roughly how many people match as you go. To reuse a persona, save it, and next time choose it from Select from Saved Persona.
To keep particular companies out of every campaign, such as your existing customers, add their domains to the Unsubscribe list.
When the persona and the offering point at different buyers
If the industries or titles you chose differ from the people who buy this offering, a banner says so and names who does buy it. Wyra qualifies prospects by checking their role and industry against the persona, and writes every message from the offering. A mismatch means most people are disqualified before outreach, and the ones who get through hear about problems that belong to someone else. You can:
- change the persona to match the banner,
- Create new offering for this audience, or
- Target them anyway. You're choosing this audience on purpose, so Wyra accepts the industries and job titles you picked and scores prospects against them. Every prospect still needs an Outreach Score of 50 or more. Expect weaker personalisation and fewer replies.
3. Why Now
Why Now is the reason to reach out at this moment: a new regulation, a funding round, a programme deadline, a shift in the market. It shapes the opening of every message.
Write it yourself, or click Ask Wyra for Wyra Suggestions based on your offering and persona, and pick one. Beside it, Illustrative Prospects shows the kind of people the campaign would reach. Those are examples only: real targets must score 50 or more.
4. Messaging
Here you shape what each prospect receives. Wyra writes every message for that person, using the framework and tone you set.
- Tone: Default, Informal, Creative, Direct, Bold or Challenger.
- Language: the language the messages are written in.
- Framework, one per channel: the shape of the message, step by step, with the parts Wyra fills in for each person. Start from the default, write a new one, or have Wyra generate one. You can rename and delete your own.
- Preview: see the messages for real example prospects, one at a time, and regenerate them after a change. Use the Ask anything panel to ask for edits in plain language.
Going deeper:
- The message framework (including tone and length)
- Writing for email and LinkedIn
5. Review & Launch
Everything you chose appears on summary cards: AI SDRs, channels, value proposition, persona, Why Now and messaging. Each card has an Edit link back to its step.
- Campaign Name: give it a name you'll recognise on the list.
- Automated replies (on by default): Wyra answers replies on its own when your offering covers the answer. Anything else becomes Action required for a person. Turn it off to handle every reply yourself.
Then click Save as draft or Launch. If no one matches the persona, the launch fails and tells you, so you can widen it.
