Planning and launching a campaign in Chat

This is the detail behind planning a campaign in Chat: what the plan card holds, how to close gaps, how the messages get written, and how to run the campaign from Chat once it's live.

New to this? Start with Your first campaign, built in Chat. It walks through the whole path once.

The plan card

Tell Wyra what you're selling and who to reach. Wyra asks only for what it needs from you, one question at a time, then shows a plan card. Click the card to read the whole plan in a side panel.

On the cardWhat it means
NameProposed from the offering, audience and month. Ask Wyra to rename it.
OfferingsHow many offerings the campaign sells. One is normal. Use several only when different industries should get different offerings.
AI SDRsHow many AI SDRs send it.
WhoJob titles and locations, industries, company size, keywords, and titles to exclude.
HowChannels, tone and language. Channels are email and LinkedIn together (the default) or LinkedIn only. In an Omnichannel campaign, an AI SDR who hasn't connected LinkedIn sends by email only. Tone is Informal unless you ask for Creative, Direct or Bold.
The ideaThe "why now": what changed that makes this the moment to write. Wyra suggests angles from your offering. A one-liner is refused, because it produces generic openers.

Auto-replies are on by default. Wyra selects prospects who fit and contacts those with an Outreach Score of 50 or more.

Click Approve plan to keep the plan in this conversation. The campaign comes later, when you save or launch it. To change anything, say so. Wyra shows an Update the campaign plan card with only the change.

Gaps to close

While a plan waits for approval, Wyra flags anything that would weaken it. The notes sit on the card and under Gaps to close in the side panel. You can approve with them in place.

GapWhat to do
An industry Wyra can't targetIt's left off the audience. Ask Wyra for the closest industry it can target.
Several offerings, no industriesEvery prospect would get the first offering. Tie each offering to its industries, or use one.
A thin offeringThe messages will be thin too. Consider a stronger copy of the offering before launch.

Some problems stop the plan instead: a missing offering, a missing industry Wyra can target, or a "why now" that's too short. Wyra says what's missing.

Writing the messages

Each channel needs a message framework: the subject, greeting and the parts Wyra fills in for each person. You can approve a plan before it has one. A campaign launches once every channel has one.

  • In the editor. When you approve the plan, the Messaging editor opens beside the conversation, with the same controls as the campaign builder. Adjust the framework and press Use in plan.
  • In Chat. Ask Wyra to draft the framework for a channel. It shows a card. Ask for changes to the subject, greeting or wording, then approve. This saves the framework to the plan only.

If you change the offering, audience, channels, why now or tone afterwards, regenerate the messages. You can also ask Wyra to save a framework for an offering, to reuse in later campaigns.

The message framework

Previewing prospects

Click Preview messages, or ask. Wyra shows three real people who match the plan and the message each would get. It needs job titles, an industry and a location on the plan. It works on a plan still waiting for approval, and nothing is sent or saved.

A preview shows examples. Only prospects with an Outreach Score of 50 or more are contacted. The people in a preview are contacted only if they score 50 or more once Wyra researches them further. See The Outreach Score.
  • "Show me three people this would reach, LinkedIn only."
  • "How many emails can this campaign send per day?"

Saving a draft or launching

CardWhat approving it does
Save draftCreates the campaign as a draft. Nothing is sent. You can still change it, or delete it with a Delete draft card.
Launch campaignStarts outreach to real people. The card shows the offerings, AI SDRs and today's sending capacity. You can pause or stop the campaign at any time. Launching an unsaved plan saves and launches it in one step.

A launch needs an offering, AI SDRs that can send, and a framework for every channel. If something is missing, Wyra holds the launch and says what to fix. Once launched, the plan in this conversation is closed. Asking for a new plan starts the next campaign.

Capacity: 5 active campaigns per AI SDR

Each AI SDR can run up to 5 active campaigns at once. Pausing a campaign frees its place. If an AI SDR is at the limit, launching or resuming a campaign that uses it is refused, naming the AI SDR. Pause one of its campaigns, or send from another AI SDR. See Sending schedule, warmup and capacity.

Running campaigns from Chat

Name the campaign and say what you want. Each change comes as a card:

Ask toWhat happens
PauseNew prospects are held. People mid-sequence still get their follow-ups. The card says "You can resume it later."
ResumeSending restarts the same day.
StopEnds the campaign for good: no new prospects, and follow-ups to people mid-sequence are cancelled too. A stopped campaign can never be restarted.
EditChange the name, audience, AI SDRs, channels, offerings, why now, tone or language of a draft or paused campaign. The card shows before and after. A paused campaign stays paused.
Auto-replies on or offOn: Wyra answers replies on its own, within your offering. Off: replies wait for you. Works on running and paused campaigns.

To edit a running campaign, ask Wyra to pause it, make the change, then resume it. This works for campaigns built in the campaign builder too.

  • "Pause the Healthcare CFO campaign and add VP Finance to the titles."
  • "Turn auto-replies off for the Q4 fintech campaign."
